Dr. Abraham Clearfield1 is a professor at the Texas A&M Chemistry Dept. and has been researching the dilemma of radioactive waste management for more than a decade.
Nuclear waste is usually dealt with by using an organic ion exchanger. Unaware to the majority of people, ion exchange is safe, clean, and used in many households throughout the nation.
